I offer a free repair evaluation so we can talk through your repair options. This appointment will typically take 20 minutes and I can normally schedule you for this within a week or two.
As a general rule, I recommend getting a Play Condition every year and a full Disassemble, Clean & Adjust every 2-5 years depending upon how much playing you're doing.
Many times if a horn has not been played or worked on in a very long time, please understand you may be in need of a full repad or even opt for a full overhaul.
I ask that I have your horn at 9:00 am on the day of your repair. We can schedule a different day and time to drop off if needed.
If you're a new customer, I'll be in touch a week or two before your scheduled repair to get you my address. I don't publish it on my website as I'm by appointment only.
Most yearly maintenance/play conditions are ready for pick up the following day.
If you scheduled a disassemble/clean & adjust I will need your instrument for a couple of days.
A full sax repad or clarinet overhaul, I want your horn a full week
Sax overhauls I ask for two weeks to work on your instrument
I typically book out a year in advance for yearly maintenance, although don't let that stop you from reaching out. I can add you to my cancellation list and may be able to get you in sooner. I fill these openings based on the date you contacted me, so don't delay if you want a spot on this list.
I'm currently booking a little over a year out for overhauls and repads, so contact me soon if you'd like to grab a future appointment date.
Yes! I stand behind all of the work I do. Occasionally, your adjustment will change before your next scheduled appointment, and I'll do my best to get you back in for a quick recheck in a timely manner. The majority of the horns I see hold well and only need to be readjusted every year.
All yearly maintenance/disassemble, clean & adjust/or full repad work is covered for the first 6 months after the work is completed. There's no charge for a quick tweak if needed. If we're over 6 months out and you have an issue, I'll charge you for a quick repair based on my hourly rate ($85/hour).
Any overhauled sax or clarinet is no charge for any repair tweaks in the first 12 months after the work is performed. After that, I recommend scheduling yearly maintenance to keep your instrument in optimal playing condition.
I accept intermediate and pro level clarinets and saxophones for repair.
If you need student horn work I can refer you to another Colorado tech I trust.
I no longer take in any flute repair work.
I am by appointment only.
I typically work 9-5 Monday-Friday, and schedule Saturday morning drop offs and pick ups as needed.
I am NOT available on Sundays, this includes drop offs and pick ups.
I accept cash, check or credit card only.
Checks are my favorite form of payment as I can mobile deposit them and you save me the credit card processing fee!
On larger purchases (such as a refurbished instrument or a repair over $1K) I do ask for cash or check if at all possible.
